3) The "name issue" is at the very heart of the entire thing, and for
reasons that ought to make both sides ashamed of themselves.
It is quite apparent to anyone who has (as I have attempted) taken a
look from the "outside" that, certain appearances to the contrary,
"history" and all that word entails, means something radically
different in Southeastern Europe than it does elsewhere.

Let me give it to you again.  THIS DISPUTE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH
HISTORY.  Get over it.

And that is the problem. The problem isn't the R of M, and the problem
isn't the Hellenic Republic, or even the people in them. The problem
is the feeling that both sides have, that the Other Guy has them
cornered and without options.
You underestimate feelings, you are malakas, after all.
In short, the problem is the conflict itself. That's where "enough is
enough". Humanity's addiction to endless conflict.
Greece cannot allow any non-Greek people monopolizing the name of
Macedonia defact or de jure.
