OK, I have no problem with this. Intrasingence would certainly be
noted by all concerned. You are still not helping me here as to why
"Republic of Vardar/Northern/Nova Macedonia" is an unacceptable choice
for the Skopje goverment. Give us a clue and let us know of your own
feelings on that matter. I thought that this proposal was a very
significant compromise from the Greek side (which should be revoked if
not acceptable). I would certainly like to know your own thoughts on
this.-

the speech of the Prime-Minister Nikola Gruevski in
the main square of the capital Skopje on the state national holiday
maybe
can explain your questions.
Gruevski claimed that "the most important for the Macedonians is the
motion for the national unification for the strategic interests of the
state."
Pavel, you are not serious, are you? š"national unification"? šAre you
guys still chasing ghosts? What planet are you from?
In any case, if this is the position of Gruevski, thanks a lot. šHe
has made the Greek case perfectly. šI do not think that Dora
Bakoyiannis need to add anything to it. šThe offensive nature of the
Skopje regime is now evident to all.
Also he asked all citizens "not to be afraid from future isolation of
Macedonia,
as the prospects of the state membership into NATO and EU are
obscure."
He said: "our state has to be ready for self-isolation." "We have made
reforms -
said he - we have fulfilled all criteria for membership into NATO and
EU,
but that is not enough, Greece does continue with its irrational
demands."
What are those irrational demands? šTo modify the name to "Republic of
Northern/Vardar/Slavonic/Nova Macedonia"? šWhere is the irrationality
in this? šIt is not as if Greece wants you guys to be called Martians
or something else. šI think that the Greek demand is eminently logical
and should lead to a very acceptable compromise.
The only way that the Greek proposal is "irrational" is if Skopje has
convinced itself and convinced the citizens of FYROM that they are the
only genuine Macedonians. šDo you agree with this position Pavel? šAnd
if the inhabitants of FYROM are the only genuine Macedonians, why
don't we have a spirited defence of this notion? šLet's see the facts
that support this silly position.
In the moment the sentiments of the population are such ones, that if
there
is a compromise of any government for the name, that government will
be
replaced with another one, that will put to annulment such an
agreement.
Greece is considered as the main state enemy, and everybody can
remember
the illegal Greek embargo in 1994-95. The time for compromise has not
come.
Greece is the main state enemy??? šHow bizzare! Pavel, I thought that
you had at least an ounce of judgement, but I was wrong.-
Well, evidently the translation was too short and I have to explain
in order the few sentences not to be understood out of context.
First, under national unification, the Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski
had in mind the popuilation in the NOWADAYS borders of the state.
Here is not included Aegean Macedonia, where is he from. There are
some centrifugal forces in the Albanians for creation of Greater
Albania. But here it is evident that the Greeks are afraid from the
ghosts of the past... Maybe that is due to the fact that the so called
by them "Macedonian struggle" was not clear, but bloody and durty...
(See something about the enormous atrocites JUST by Greek
sources - 1)Pavlos Melas, Biography by stories, rememberings,
letters - his and others, Alexandria, 1926; 2)General K. I. Mazarakis,
O Makedonikos agon - Macedonian Struggle, Athens, 1937; 3)Stamatis
Raptis, Kapetan Pulakas - The Whole Macedonian Struggle - The Heroic
Battles - The Avengers Bulgariankillers, Athens 1909 (in 2520 pages)).
That is the reason they so much to be afraid just from a name...
Second - it is irrational to insist someone to change that name, that
has been chosen by him. In the negotiations, the Macedonian part
Well, this is what SlavoSkopians ask from us. They want to identify
themselves with us by name. This is ludicrous.
